all red tails for the win! considering going back to euro ones for that look myself.
Doing the standard moisture build up drain on the airide yesterday. Decided to install a LED strip to the top of the boot while I was there, been meaning to do it for a long time but never got around to it, such a improvement on the stock boot light.

Bought this off a fellow member and installed it last night. Couldn't fit the tube so I might have to shorten it a little or remove the battery next weekend to squeeze it down that little gap.

Pull the battery and the base, run the tube down, put it all back together.Originally posted by SLAJ View PostBought this off a fellow member and installed it last night. Or run the tube around the battery and take air from the stock intake area next to passenger headlight.
When connecting to the MAF you need to just keep tightening the screw on the jubilee clip intil it is tight. The red silicone magically shrinks down to a nice fit.
I used the mounting point of the stock airbox near wheel arch to hold the filter in place.
Ensure you mount the ICM on a heat sink of some kind.
You will love the sound !MK4 GTI - Sold
MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.

Dunno if I'd feel right selling it hey. It was robbing me of a bit of power, it'll spin through 2nd now just rolling onto the accelerator, plus the response now is awesome, the turbo seems to spool up a lot faster. I was actually thinking of scrapping it for the aluminium gotta a nice little collection of scrap nowOriginally posted by kenbot View PostWhat would you want for the old one Lito?

No worries buddy, I can definitely recommend the pwr cores though, great quality, decent price and you're supporting Aussie business. The only problem is trying to get it to fit behind the bumper lolOriginally posted by kenbot View PostNo worries, thanks for the honest advice Lito.

I reckon that core would be alright for a tuned std turbo. Certainly worth letting him have it for scrap value mate.

Not crazy low, the rear has the adjusters and perches out so it can go any lower. Front could come down another 10mm or so to match up a bit better, or I could out the perches in to raise the back a little to match the front. Ill have to get some pics up tomorrow.
