Yeah, it's a real bitch! This was my 2nd attempt, as I had to wait for my new glass lenses from Volxtuning to arrive from the US. 1st attempt resulted in many hours of heating and prying and cutting, over and over, until CRACK, right through one of the lenses. Pretty funny as I was being so gentle for hours, but last night, when I wanted to smash the good one to get it off, and I kept swinging the hammer into it and it just kept bouncing off! I ended up having to start drilling a hole right in the middle and then chisel a screwdriver in there to get the bloody thing to crack! No idea what's going on with all these people that say a stone can crack it?!?! Must be really hot when the stone hits?!? Anyway, many challenges, a few bits of blood (soooo many shards and splinters of glass), but a good end result.

I'm hoping to get my OEM headlights out this weekend to clean and joey mod. The cheapies I have in the car atm are clouding so quickly and dont have motors for adjusting, so I want my OEM ones back in.

Thankfully because I have my cheapie ones on the car, I can take my time with the OEM ones.
Forgot to mention, I had to buy new glass lenses to silicone on afterwards, the originals were definitely NOT coming out in one piece! Based on the popular UK style, which is starting with two sets, and smashing the glass and cleaning it all out on one set, and cutting away all the housing and plastic from the good glass on the other set, then after painting, combining the good bits of both to make 1 good Joey modded set.
I got my glass from Mike at Volxtuning, ~$69 for the glass, and ~$60-$65 for shipping, so about $134. Worth it! (ECS is about $95 each for glass and shipping, so, ~$190! You might as well start looking for a cheap new set! If you are thinking if this, definitely consider finding some black RHD new ones instead, you'll save a LOT of pain. FK Auto projectors will be cheapest..

Hmmm, thanks for the heads up. I might just clean my OEM ones up and not joey them. I love dylans FK's for sale but I have *so* many things requiring my funds at the moment.

Stripped not one but two rear doors. Charged ahead on the first one and popped the regulator off and got in all sorts of trouble
But hey, one door is back together!
Haha, I feel your pain mate. Good luck with the rest of it!
