        Mk3 R32 v2

Made the hose sometime last week.

Go to take it around the block, no start. Chase that issue around for a few days. Back to stock injectors and the old map. Still no good. Diagnose diagnose diagnose. Turned out to be the oem round connector in the engine bay not connecting the coil signal wires. So it had coil power which is why it showed spark (but sparked constantly)

Driveway cleared for 10 minutes of Golf’s for the first time in a fair while!

Quick putt around to fill it up tonight. Gets tuned next week. Fingers crossed!

So it got tuned the other week.

Made basically the same power as it did on small cams and the schrick intake manifold. However it is back on stock ported downpipes.

Also, was on a stinking hot day and as seen on the screen, intake temps were 42c.

So i’m happy with that, made power all the way out to 7400rpm too!

Now the bad stuff, nitrous solenoids we’re playing up on the day and something is wrong with the throttle cable so couldn’t get any part throttle stuff done. So it drives like ****, until it’s on wot then it’s not bad!

Disheartened at the moment but will come back around to it at some stage.

Keep your chin up, you have gotten it this far. Take a breath and smell the roses before coming back to it refreshed to tackle it again.

              She’ll be right.

Ordered a new throttle cable and some other pieces, hopefully arrive in a couple days.

Flipped the TB and got the pedal working mint.

Need redo the wiring for the nitrous stuff and see how we go.

Sad that you're selling this. I never got to see it! Bring it to VITS and after that, I might be OK with you selling it. Might.

Got the car tuned in December. Didn’t go really to plan however.

Ended up being on a cracking 45 degree day, nitrous solenoids weren’t working and the throttle cable was playing up.

All that aside it still punched out 130kw, and carried all the way out to 7400rpm. Not bad for a stock head 12v!

I got over it a bit, but slowly fixed some of the issues, it has no issue spinning the Yokohama S.Drives I’ve got on it so I’m not seeing much point fixing the nitrous stuff. But will be going back to the dyno to clean up up the tune (swapped out the stock downpipes for my 2” custom downpipes that were on a buddies car. So will pick up a chunk of torque and some more kw’s.

However, As the comments above, I have officially advertised the car for sale. But I am confident that it will not sell and I’ll be stuck with it, which isn’t really a bad thing at all. Just means I won’t have the extra money to move out.

Couple potato cam photo’s of how it’s looking out of the driveway.
