VR6 front mount bracket

Hi all,

I've just changed my VR6s front engine mount and found the bracket that joins the engine to the front mount to be loose. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a bolt going through the bottom hole from the driver's side on the bracket?

Yes. Iirc it goes in from the drivers side and bolts into the gearbox.

Thanks for confirming that! I went to VW the other day to get a replacement bolt but according to their diagram there is absolutely no mention of that bolt, which struck me as odd. If you or anyone has any idea what size that bolt is, that would be an enormous help?!
