I am checking basically everyday for 5x100 wheels and it's so hard to find anything at all, and something that I like. 4x100 you're spoilt for choice.

        • ^^ this.
5x100 pretty much limits you to ricey 22" chromies that people have run on their 86...

4x100 gives you heaps more options. Honestly contemplating doing a 5 to 4 stud conversion.

          • I have these ronals. They are 5x100 15" 6.5" +35

            I'd sell em for $250

            • I have the cabby and the wheels are the least of my problems.

Bought second hand shocks and they don't fit. So the mechanic is gonna try and chase down a new set. So yeah.

Moral of story, don't by second hand shocks haha.

              • I think the real moral of the story is buy the correct ones.

80% of the cars on here are running 2nd/3rd even 4th owned setups.

                • 4x100 has good amount of options if you like spending.
I'm still the same after a week stef, not much has changed. I've been still leaning towards either replica bbs or steelies Although I'm getting more hours at work so saving up is what I'm gonna do.

                  • Save the money and get real wheels. The good thing is they don't really depreciate, so you can normally get your money back.

I guess that is very true. I am not saying there is anything bad with second hand setups, just saying that I ran into problems with mine that others may not have.

With that being said, the set I bought are salvageable with the right strut staying and the left being retrofitted. Its the only option I have for now and will do.

As for wheels. Just going to keep looking around and see whats out there.

All comes down to money and work commitments haha

                      • have a 5x100 car long enough and you'll see plenty of 5x100 options over time

Was metallic paint ever a factory option?

Check out an website called Cabby Info. They are split into two different eras showing the colours of mk1 and mk3 cabs. Some colours are rarer then others.

Anyways, I'll do a shameless plug of my green cabriolet

The green looks amazing. Can't wait to get it back.
