      • Anyone run e85/flex fuel in a vr6 before? I realise standalone and bigger injectors would be required. Just wondering if it would be a decent difference being N/A

Was that with your ms3x? Or can you do that with stock ecu/injectors?

            • Having a laugh.

Done it on plenty of jap motors. Bit more lenient.

No point thinking about it on NA. Petrol is more explosive so you actually want a bit more of it than e85 has.

Ethanol burns cooler therefore colder combustion temps which means you can wind the boost up and advance the timing to the moon.

                • I'll try find the article but there was a back to back comparison of a V8 supercar on E85 then on E70 and it made 20kw more.

                    Just run 98.

No advantage with e85 in a low comp stock VR6 motor.

                    • Yeah unless you are going to build a crazy motor, even then you only really see big gains when you're running turbo

Yes. Yes. Yes. If you're serious I'm down for this.

                              • I have a sweet collection of parts aside for the CL:
                                - Front coilovers
                                - New strut tops
                                - New gearbox
                                - New clutch and flywheel
                                - VR6 seats
                                - New steering wheel/shifter/hand brake lever
                                - New exhaust

Now have to save $$$ for:
                                - Roof repair/respray
                                - Paint guard
                                - Sort out bumper, headlights and grille.
                                - Head liner

All of the above should take 2 weeks but will probably take me all year!
