    I'm on 16x8+17 all round and I've only got like 3mm of poke at the rear, so yeah, hit up some spacers.

    I'm running 15x8 +25 now and the front fit flush and rears are a a little in.

      15x7 et45 will poke less than your current set up! Lower the et number further the guard sits away from the strut. (Out the guard more)

        7et42, will poke 30mm less, have 4mm less clearance to the strut.

        Mk3 vr is 6.5et43 from memory, guessing 4stud mk3 is like 6et38ish. if that gives you some ideas

              • mk3 wheel fitment equation.

                A"xB" etC

                A= 15,16,17 depending on personal preference
                B= biggest number possible
                C= smallest number possible (-negatives?)

                Abide by the above and you shall acquire many efame and much scene points

                  My new wheels are 17s (because I couldn't get them any smaller) and I'm insure if I should go 17x8 or 17x9. Mind you, I've only acquired the faces and need to buy new barrels and lips for this lot /:

                      Cheers Ben. 9.5" rear pushing it?

                        • 9.5 can and have been done. Just have to be smart at figuring out what offset and run the right tyre size. Personally though I probably would wanna tuck 17s on a mk3 otherwise you'll have mega ride height.

                          • Well if I keep it 17x8 tucking them will be a breeze but yeh, right now I've only got the faces... No barrels, lips or bolts so I can build them however.

                            • 9.5 is really pushing it, especially in 17s. Would need as much offset as you can get before it touches anything inside. You'll need to stretch some small tyres and a fair bit of camber to make it work.

                              Can be done though. I was going to run 15x9.5 on my mk3 and it was going to sit perfect. I'll see if I can dig up some test fit photos and the offset
