How do I disconnect the brake wear indicator? I've joined the wires together before the plugs and the light is still on.
Can I just remove the bulb from the instrument cluster?
When the rear brakes go back in and the system is bleeded I will finally be done and ready to rego and hand the keys to my mother in law.

Roadworthy inspector might notice the joined wires or the extra resistor, much less likely to notice that the bulb in the instrument cluster is missing

Also wanted to turn it off with VAGCOM. Found instructions for a mk4 but not a mk3 so I tried the Mk4 instructions and it didn't work. So guess I have no choice but to pull the bulb.
