Took out the baby bar today. Surprisingly easy, just remove both bolts (+ little caps), push the seatbelt winders out of the way and the whole thing pops out.
So much easier to put things in the boot now with the seats down and bar gone, feels spacey.
I fit in two surfboards and still have room for an esky and 2 passengers, win!Past - '95 VW Golf MK3 VR6

In regards to OBD . We don't have this specific ECU function on our cars . It mainly relates to readiness codes for emissions testing , which we by law don't have here . The only ECUs that have OBD are countries where there is compulsory emissions testing like USA/UK/Germany etc . So calling any Australian MK3 by OBD1/OBD2 is technically not correct . The correct term used is for the scanner input is diagnostic plug . Im happy to dig out my MK3 study guides and Australian workshop manuals and scan and post it if it helps people understand .Bug_racer supports the rebellion of the euro revolution
