          I've also just picked up a mk3 1.8T for a daily as driving my Beemer every day is slowly killing me one km at a time.........

              here is the 1.8t MK3


              better pics when its at mine... deposit paid but the guy is not back for a few weeks.

              Here is the bmw that is killing me off, f$cking auto slush box...!;


              Heres some good progress, not enough time to get the bloody head off

              So the gearbox is partially split gearbox and then couldnt get the bolts off for 5th gear. So removed the front suspension from car.

              Will get back at it tomorrow night!


              June has come and to be honest going as fast as possible....eeek

                  Far out this is so good! so clean and its only just beginning! id love to do a 1.8t into a mk3 would be nice! this thread is keeping me keen

                    Is that smg gearbox in the. BMW they do they a bit to get used to but are good fun when you get the hang of it
                    The step tronic on the other hand is a piece of. Crap

                      Cheers for the comments... i am surprised how clean the engine is but it is a last model 1998 so should be good right?

                            Depends how you drive it and how well it is set up.

                            With out traction control it will be a handful around corners, but fun
