Nah I bought them off Deemo, carbon fibre look ones!
I dunno, I prefer them colour coded, can look pretty good, but I no what you mean though!
Cant say this doesnt look good?!
^^^^^^ One of my fav MK3's
Hmnnn I agree. I just realised thats a 5 door, wow... Is that clear-coated primer? never mind...
I'm almost certain you can actually swap the eyelids around and get the very same look, they'll sit fine on the car, 'av a go! I experimented with mine but chose the clean look instead to fill in the space on top of the lights, plus the fact that theres that much gloss black on the car it kinda matched and didn't really need coding.
What have you stuck them on with for the time being?

Reason: typo
Yeah $100 seems pretty steep hey, but I guess stuff like that was a little more hard to come buy back then hey!
Few pics of the strut brace. Didnt realise till i went to put it on how close it sits to the back of the bay, had to move the metal lines (aircon maybe?) down and under the clips that hold it up neatly. Plus drilling the holes was a bit of a bit bitch!
I de-stickered it and polished it up a bit before it went on, looks nice and shiney now
Oh and yes I know my engine bay needs a good clean, its bloody filthy as

Ok so I attacked the Golf today and went to install the coilovers. All seemed easy enough at first, bottom strut bolts werent a problem with a breaker bar, but wen it came to the strut top bolts it wasnt quite the same! The stupid setup with the whole 7mm allen key and deep socket was a headf**k
Never knew it would be sooo hard to find an allen key that fitted the damn hole. Took four hours in the end to make up some new tools and adapt a small as 7mm key, very dodgy but worked, kinda...
Other side looked simple as we had the right tools this time, until the allen key hole threaded and split down the side of the bolt meaning nothing would fit and hold in there. After lots of swearing, ranting and head scratching, we decided to destroy the old shock and drilled a hole to the shaft deep enough to fit a small metal bar (this took another hour almost!). It worked, but resulted in a dead shock which ill replace if the stock struts ever go back in.
Front coils are now in, not adjusted yet tho so sitting pretty low with the front lip about a finger width off the ground Will be raised tommorow along with the rears going in and a wheel allignment! Got MAD rake though!

Just use airtools and a rattlegun to unzip the top suspension bolt. Heaps easier than using special tools.
Glad you got there in the end tho.

The colour matched up well on the eye lid.. You can use Hot glue gun to make it stay inplace, Strong and cheap and easy removed and no damage when you don't need it.
Ride height is awesome. keep us updated with more pics.
