I chucked my 25mm spacers on the back when I had my vr not a wise move before fender rolling and with 205 tyres on unless you like the smell of burnt rubber.

Have heaps of stuffed planned to do to this in the holidays, toying with lots of different ideas. A photoshopped teaser of one of the things I might do

I've just got spiked nuts on the back which Alex lent me with the spacers, but I think ill change them for some standard ones, looks a bit funny without them matching.

If I were to shave the bumper I'd definitely relocate the indicators and maybe the tow hook too

Not much done lately, still been cramming for exams, but am procrastinating hard right now and thought I'd do a mini update.

Realised I had a JBHifi gift card expiring soon so picked up some little speakers to put in the back (which were reduced to about 1/4 retail price :O) and put them in instead of the very old speakers that were in the parcel shelf support things I took from the VR6. Still not sure if they were an OEM option or after market, still havent seen them in any other mk3. New speakers sound much nicer though.



And a clue to one of the projects I plan on undertaking in the summer holidays


Only 1 more week until exams are done and I can start cutting **** up, have a list a couple pages long of things I want to get done to the car during the break Get the license back in a couple days too which is nice, can't believe how fast it's gone.

I've been tossing up whether I'd put speakers in the parcel shelf or in the panels next to the back seat. I've had them out of mine for a while and noticed on the back of them there's like an embossed 6" circle, I assume for speakers....
Exhaust also on the To Do list for me. What do you plan on? I was gonna go the "high flow cat/single rear muffler" rout lol

My Vr6 came with a set of parcel shelf support things which use to have a 5 inch woofer and a tweeter in them, with mesh over the top. Probably sounded nice when they were new, but the speakers are just really old and weren't sounding so great. The ones I put in instead are only 4 inch, but the sound quality is nice and the rear speakers are only for "fill" and for passengers sitting in the back to hear really, so they should do the job well.

I'm not doing a full exhaust (can't see the point on the 1.8 haha, its never going to be fast, I'd rather spend money on finishing the vr6 than try and get power/noise out of this thing), just a turn down tip, so I can shave the exhaust cutout and hide the exhaust

Haha yeah someone sent me that link a little while a go. Is weird seeing things like that posted by completely random people haha, nice to know I've inspired people though I suppose.


Have a few little updates for the car I'll post later when I can be bothered. Uni is done for the semester and I have the license back, so a lot of things will be happening to the little car in the near future. Have a lot of crazy idea's I'm playing with, guess we will all see where they go

Got a new phone yesterday (Galaxy S3 (absouletly loving it))and was playing with the camera today. Really impressed with it, obviously not DSLR quality but photos I'll be posting from now will be a lot nicer than the ones I was taking with the old piece of ****.

Obviously a LOT of quality is lost when converting videos to GIF, but I made these for a bit of a laugh
