Received parts from the UK from Awesome GTI, 2 packages from Tim (New VR spoiler, and a computer box:S, still puzzled about the computer boxes contents) and 2 new barrels, a centre cap and lips from Intensem1(Alex) which will bring my wheels out all effectively to 16x8 instead of the staggered look however I am still deciding whether or not I want to make the lips at the back bigger to 2" to make them 9
Pics to follow of parts and also hopefully finishing my boot this weekend taking me forever
Was thinking about that but its for a 10" sub and I am not that fussed about getting the biggest amount of dB just something nice and good small thump really, but I think I may built a small box, 4 sides pushing out about 5cms with a back on it and thats about it really
Trust me man box it up!
Seal that mofo in tight too.
If you want tight bass you're going to want a sealed sub box - and idealy you'll want to make the right size box for the sub.
I've got a program at home that can help calculate how big a box should be if you feed it the sub's specs - I've made a few boxes here and there with my brother, spent alot of time putting one together + tuning it for my old car. (12" Cliff Design 1600wrms sub)
Other than that its sounding sick - Supercharger...
Ray the rear fenders will be rolled when I get the car resprayed.
Dave, I am going to use the 10" box that I originally had and cut it in half and then glue and nail it to the back of the board that I have covered in vinyl. Its going to be inverted and hope that will do it. Will that work?
Oh and yes supercharger but thats not till mid next year I want to enjoy the schrick for abit first

half a box will work but not work best for the sub. you need to get the spec of the sub and put it in the program and it gives u a size it needs..
I read yesterday that you can use the schrick WITH a supercharger. You will need to remove the flapper that opens at 4000rpm tho, since they cant handle the boost (and your engine will ingest the bits, yum!)

Interesting, eh?
Yep read about that too Matty, there is going to be so much torque that I'm going to have to go LSD which one I don't know cause they are both good!
Worked on boot abit on the weekend I have done all of the panels, hit a small bump and the back panel has a small tear in it on the side will have to reupholster that
Getting there but so far away, also cut and refitted my sub box to the back of the back panel so it fits and doesn't hit the baby/ stress bar at the back.
On a brighter note I bought myself a new Sub New Pioneer 10" woofer pretty resasonable and also for the price I wasn't going to say no, and atleast I know this Sub works hehe. The magnet compared to the older one is twice the size and also pokes out alot more which means I will lose abit more room to make way for the subs poking bum. Ahhhh **** I this build is killing me haha
