    Hmm, dont know, I have always liked the blue hoses, but it wont suit your car.
    Do they need replacing, I would just leave them the way they are unless they need to be replaced, then go the full kit

    I have replaced most of my hoses, and even just having new ones looks clean

    • The old ones look fine I have only had to replace one hose thats it but, red would brake it up, however I think as the car is white and the engine bay is partly black that keeping it black would look decent and hide some of the cables so to speak looking stealth but I am not sure

      • you'll be able to piggy back some cables (they're black right) along the black piping, thus cleaning up the engine bay a bit. Go with the black hoses i say, and just pop some red lettering/highlights here and there to break it up a bit.

        • Hmm your right there Jarred, keeping it black may actaully make it look better, stealthier and not seen as much I think.

            • What cams did you end up going with Steve? Did you change the chip also?

              Cheers

                  Hey Simon, went with 264 tectonic cams, and GIAC custom chip as they are the only one that did the custom chip, Superchips do it aswell but there is a basic fuel remap just like the giac but don't do custom. The GIAC chip offered custom code for the porting, cams, headers (if I ever get any) and schrick

                  Oettinger used to do it aswell but they don't have it on there website anymore but thats when I was checking it about 6 months ago.

                      • Thanks for the info Steve, you're happy with that combo? I was looking at a combo from MJM which seems pretty darn cheap for what you get;

                        Seriously considering this setup.

                        • Looks good there Simon they look to be progressive cams which is good, also take into account that the chip might be for US mk3s but make sure you ask them before hand though

                          I am happy with the setup and with the schrick I think it will compliment it even better, don't forget if you want to SC or turbo your car you will have to downgrade your cams to 255 degree otherwise there will be overlap and thats no good

                          However for NA thats tops and don't forget that stock is 232 degree so its a good jump.

                          • Think i've given up on the idea of a SC or Turbo, just can't justify spending that much unfortunately Thanks for the input Steve
