      • Hmmmm - to much black and white I think. It's gonna need something to stand out.

Getting red's to match can be hard too as adrian said.

Perhaps powdercoat the SCHRIK manifold black and do the red hoses?

        • is the schrick painted red already? doesnt have to match exactly, gets a bit lakemba styles...if ur busting,a good painter can match the red on samco and paint/repaint schrick

          • I think only go red if you can replace most hoses in your bay with red.

Cars look silly imo if only 3 or 4 hoses in the engine bay are red and/or with black ends/fittings.

I've gone all black in my engine bay and used black duct tape over the brands stamped on the pipes to keep it looking stock for any coppers that want to take a peak.

Black in the bay keeps yellow stickers away.

            lol.

            • Haha Dave, I think I may have said it wrong but the schrick is painted black to start off with, I was going to keep it black and paint the schrick letters red, with the red hose kit which is a 7 piece hose kit!

But isn't red with the black and white abit to much?

Also with the black I think its a suttle two tone black and white I was even thinking of painting the schrick white and the throttle body white as well

                • Sunday I had a bit more enthusiasm and had some help from a mate:

Someone decided to wake up lol.

Thanks to William for all his help without him all of what I did on Sunday would not have been accomplished

Used some tools and the blue bottle.

And my dog that kept getting in the way and made William run everytime

As the tower of wheels now stand, 3 wheels seperated from the barrel but not the centres from the lip these appeared to be tougher than I thought, even used the heat gun which didn't seem to do much.

                  Leaning tower of wheels.

                    • Good work Steve. Don't know if you're willing to, but you can place the lip+centre on a soft surface, stand on the centres while you heat the sealant and try and lift the lip that way.

                      • Nice work Steve, looks like the wheels were a pain in the bum to get apart.

I guess all the hard work is coming together as I know you have put a lot of time into your car
It will look hot when the wheels are done and on the car

I better hurry up and get more done to my VR6

When I first bought the car back in Oct 06 the car had 110 000kms since then I have possibly done 15-20K kms so my guess the engine is at about 160K kms, anyway when I first got the car the cluster wasn't working

So I used one that Seb had lying around when I first took it to him which at the time I didn't know who he was just heard from a few friends that he was good, it was off his old VR6.

It had 197K when I remember picking it up
