Well considering a stock VR6 was dyno'd at 98 kw at the wheels and then mine was done straight after that! And thats impossible for the SR20 engine to do that its got 105kw at the crankOriginally posted by MattyT View Post114kw seems kind of small for a 2.8L VR6 motor, especially when a SR20DE (2L I4) can spit out 110kw with zorst & filter

Louis the 128kw is at the flywheel not the actual rubber wheel
You lose about 30% between the engine and the wheels I have been told
Its not bad but work still needs to be done!I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

SR20 will indeed put out 110kw BUT at the the fly not at the wheels n: They also have poopy torque, oh, and they aren't made by VW either
I'd be fairly happy with those figures steve, unless you go big compression, major crank, rod and piston work, also major headwork you're never going to get HUGE power increases. If you want a big power increase you need to spend major $$$ in NA form or alternatively put a wheezer on it (which i must stop thinking about doing, that EIP kit is mighty tempting
) Which big bore intake you looking at the ABT?

A little Inline-4 motor made by Nissan. Used in their Silvias, Pulsars and other stuffs.
114kw ATW still seems small though. I used to have a friend with a 1.6T mazda 323 that did 100km. A 1.6 with a weeny turbo!!1996 Golf VR6 Colour Concept Green

Ohh... SR20 is like our OBD1-2 kinda thing..? Wow... I knew they were quick but 110kw at the wheel ?? would power to weight be the culprit in this story. If that is true I suppose german will "argue speed is not everything." Quality and durability is the key... and just so happen a v6 was tossed in the engine bay and makes a nice noise.Originally posted by Mk3vr6 View PostLouis SR20 is the Nissan Pulsar SSS motor which is also used in the S15s or 200s as some call them.
Guys how does that starlet gtir rate...? apparently it's got a mini snail in it too.
Who wants to name our real jap rivals, as in the FF class stockwise, and know we shouldn't bother at the lights.

Agreed, numbers mean ****. At the end of the day it's you who feels the pull and the noise. If it's numbers that put a smile on my face, I'd be a mathematician.

Haha thats cool Alex if I can answer anyones questions I'm up for it=)
It drives alot better it feels alot smoother, not like a turbo obviously lol but you can feel like it wants to go harder and faster
I'm hoping with the schrick and a few other goodies that I will be able to get a few more kws at the wheels.
Anyway I have finally uploaded the dyno sheet in all its glory and a comparison. And if this comparison is anything to go by Malteser has a lower ks engine than mine which if ran on the dyno will be about the same, so by that gain I am quie happy actually

My dyno

The comparison dyno, asyou can see Matt (stifflers mom) was able to hold that torque line abit more than me, as where I hit it earlier.I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

Thanks very much for that Luke I'm flattered, but there are many vr6 owners in Oz that are stepping up to the plate at the moment. K1LLZ in queensland is going to be a monster, troys and Andrews in melbourne and Matty's in WA all have there own spotlight on them. I'd like to think that theres are as good as mine
Things that I am planning is a schrick manifold, corrado throotle body and big bore intake, and then im planning on fixing up the doors and back bumper. Which after that I'll tackle the interior
But thats in short pretty much
