I'm still running stock gears(CCM). Had 3rd gear let go at portland in 2011 and just re-built it with a S/H 3rd gear set.
All bearings and synchros are genuine vw1979 Mk1 Golf 2door (Under construction)

I went a bit low on compression first up with the stock mk3 gasket, the mk4 gasket is a bit thinner. Thus bumping the compression up 0.5:11979 Mk1 Golf 2door (Under construction)
