Unfortunately Portland is 1/8 mile, which the car is not really suited to imo. Best time i got was 8.8, but had problems all weekend with missfires and didn't have traction control at the time.

Well I had the opportunity to take some more photos of the turbo and manifold setup this week due to having to remove the turbo to repair the turbo coolant hoses that had been affected by the heat. The high quality coolant hose that I had used just went hard and crack causing a nice steam haze on the way to work on wednesday.

They give you a better idea of how tight it is behind the engine when you put a GT30 back there.

Sounds like some damn nice peak torque! Dare I ask for a dyno sheet to see a torque and power curve?

All the videos I've seen of VRT's both sound amazing and look like they are seriously fast cars!

Hey man, just thought id get your opinion
what do you think a freshly rebuilt vr motor would take ? (hp wise)
                      keeping in mind, stock internals.
i think i saw on vortex some where, saying around 300-400hp ?
but weidly the crank takes about 600hp ?

You hear of some guys running some good number on stock internals (300-400whp) with a head gasket spacer. Most of them have upgraded rod bolts to something like the ARP2000 series. From what I've read it is the rods and rod bolts that are the limiting factor.

My opinion is do it right do it once.

I don't like head spacers, If you doing a rebuild you may as well get some decomp pistons

Thanks for that. You got my head thinkin straight again.
Forgot to mention ARP2000 stuff (it's cheap so it's a must).

I should do this more sooner than later that thing looks awesome . i was thinking of using a gt3582r but since a gt30 is pretty tight in the might have to change plans. ohh and what made you not use a short ram intake like SP and other brands ? wouldnt that free up some space out the back ?

Dont get me wrong, a gt3582r will most likey fit. Just not using stock exhaust manifolds and intake like I did.

The stock intake is better for bottom end torque than a short runner setup, being a daily driver at the time it didn't make sense for me at the time. Plus they were all damn expensive at the time and still are. Unless you make you own.
