depends on how much power youre going to make really. Stock vr6 gearing is too tall for the standard power output and the car takes ages to wind up. Big HP cars can overcome the tall gearing whereas with shorter gearing it will be a wheelspin fest.

But yeah.. How much power are you chasing

ok here are some pics for now sorry bout the bad quality

pic of coilpack with the grounding washer on due to grounding issues they need to be removed only as a precorsionary

                        heres me milling them out

                        washer removed

i made some nylon washers in the lathe just in case any more metal could of made contact

only needed three nylon washers as there is only one side of the coil with the grounding washer

pic of the icm with the tabs folded over so they dont point out
and so they dont get damaged

                        finished wiring

also used hot melt inbetween the tabs to further prevent any grounding issues

more pics tomorrow on the car

a few pics roughed in for now

msd leads are slightly thicker than the oem so i had to nip the tabs off
i just used a sharp blade

That looks awesome Pete, well done.

Wish I had the cash and expertise to attempt it myself. Knowing my luck i'd do it and the coil packs would blow up

That's quite an extensive approach to what I thought wouldn't have taken so much work. Hat goes off to you dude, you've done a very good job and I would bet money that it will run perfectly because of your methods!
