    • Means a lot mate, thanks Slow going and not without some problems but hopefully it comes together and something to be proud of. Thanks for the wheels, makes the difference to a tired car for sure!

Might PM you tomorrow on maybe some wheel nuts and fresh studs for the front.

Don't forget your fronts are always going to be poking, its the guards and the wider wheel base. Keep it up dude.

Hmm I'll wait and see how the final fitment is with the "right" rubber, hopefully i can just get the lips rolled and leave my plastic arches on. If not they will be coming off obviously...

                • My plastic arches are cut down to suit rolled guards if you wanna swap me Mal, I'm not getting rid of them anytime soon so it's an option for you you can't run the arches without clipping them because of rolled guards, that's all.

No idea what size for the 15" front though...I want skinnier i think but ill then lose out on load rating for the VR. Doh!
Mal those rims look stunning mate and if I may say so, you're not going to get stretch with a 195/45... 165/45 rear and 165/50 fronts doooo eeeeeeet btw awesome nankang make both sizes

                          • Ta Alex:

                            40 16" 165/40R16 XL 73V 6.0" 538 170

                            45 16" 165/45R16 70V 5.5" 554 165

                            50 15" 165/50R15 72V 5.0" 547 170

Thats in th NS2 series. I think Jarred recommended them in another thread.
Could I go the 165/40/16s alex, for the slightly higher load rating?

Last 2 figured are OD and Sidewall in mm...

                            • Yea Nankangs are alright. No, they're not Pzero's and yes there are better tyres, but they're are also alot worse tyres out there too!.

plus they make all the fun sizes too! One bloke just got some 165/50/15's fitted for 96 each. bargain.

It'll be interesting to see how they go on the front of a VR!

                              • Please try to get something better than a 'kang, say goodbye to wet weather and flogging it through the gears. My car car used to skip and bounce with them on it was just ridiculous and yes they were new NS2's. I know the profiles are great Mal, but your safety is more important at the end of the day!!!
