  • cant shift into 5th gear (mk2 golf)

    Hi all,

as the title says I cant shift into 5th gear since I bought the car its always been hard to get it into 5th I was driving to the city last night on my way there I managed to get it to 5th on my way back I couldn't it would go into 3rd.

Does anybody know what might be the problem is it big/small how much would it cost to fix & is it a easy fix?????

Sounds like you're going to need to get and fit a complete bushing kit. See ebay.

depends on what specifically is gone, but that covers most bases from what i understand.

The hard part is the install. I really must get around to booking mine in, i dont really have the space to do it at home
