Hey guys, wanting to change the 5th gear set in my 08' Polo GTI Cup Edition, cruising on the motorway at 100ks doing between 2500-3000rpm isn't really doing me any favor's re fuel consumption.

I've just picked up a T5 4motion with a BNZ and 6 speed manual transmission. It's making a nasty grinding noise when coasting. It's most noticeable driving in 5th or 6th gear when you release the accelerator the noise starts but goes away if you accelerate or push the clutch in....

We have a 2008 Transporter 6 speed manual and when I go to put it into either 5th or 6th gear, there is nothing there. I can select the gear but it is just in neutral.

Any thought of what it can be?

just picked up a 2008 jetta with 6spd (petrol FSI motor) with a bad 5th gear

removed the gear shift linkage and actuated the gearbox manually, 5th is stripped it just clacks by, I am assuming broken synchro/muff/spring...
