You need to start a thread and post lots of pictures so we can hate you for all the great work you're doing to your car.

I thought you said you had rough roads where you live. Won't these make the car stiffer?
Or are you planning on building a Nerf gun?1978 MK1 2.0 16v http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...-46488-70.html

These are just to get the gear shift sorted
I have been putting up with missing 1st gear for way too long.
Successfully changed out a absolutely demolished middle shift bush.
Also weighted the shift rod and it does feel a bit slicker overall, not too mention I actually have a reverse lock out again.
Heres a photo - excuse the oily hands, it is a messy job
And no it is not a magic trick, the photo is for some reason up side downsigpic07 GTI

Put 50 litres of petrol in, good for another 700+ ks - 4 days going to work and back.
Do MK2's have a 55 litre tank? The most I've ever squeezed in is 52 litres and that was with the gauge showing below empty.1978 MK1 2.0 16v http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...-46488-70.html

Think it's 55 litres I got 53 litres in once - didn't think I would make it to the petrol station looking at the gauge... It normally does about 650k's on my tank full...Originally posted by sports racer View PostPut 50 litres of petrol in, good for another 700+ ks - 4 days going to work and back.

Replaced my heater a few weeks ago but haven't used it. Turned my heater on AND IT WORKS !!!
So nice having a bit of warmth each night when I drive home and it's 3 degrees outside.
