  • Spent the last 4 hours clay baring, cut and polishing my car by hand. I really want a red bonnet now. But they're so hard to find.

      • Looks good in red. Why not vinyl wrap your bonnet to match.

        Cheers

The bonnets a chalk board atm. I want to have a red one and keep this for when I get bored.

          • Good work on the clay bar !
I have been wanting to polish mind but it has been raining nearly every day!!

Hit the bonnet with a couple of coats of matte black or a wrap like Paul suggested

              • Hoping someone will read this and have the answer. Been searching for ages and can't find the answer. I'm looking to go gt28rs and wanting to know how I should go about feeling it. I currently have a mk3 fuel tank and a seat cupra 16v fuel pump, would this be enough? I'm looking for about 350hp. Or would I have to go bosch 044 or something? I want to know the easiest way.

                  • That's a nice hair dryer you have there.

Did you get all the answers you wanted off Pete?

Will we be hearing more stories about quicker cars than the E55 vs MK2?

Can't wait for the next installment.

Yeah he was a great help. A little less worried for future mods after talking to him haha. Hopefully not to many stories unless it's on a track. If I can find a manifold for a decent price this will be installed very soon.

                      • Once I get the exhaust flange I'll figure out the final position everything will sit on my spare 1.8t.

                          • Well I haven't been on here in ages, cars been daylied the last few years. So a little update, I have a gt3071, ie h beam rods (for sale), exhaust valves and a few more parts for this car. I've also got the gearbox rebuilt again with a longer final drive 3.15 and longer fourth and fifth for better gearing. Also installing me7.5 ECU, hydraulic clutch and mk4 climatronic a/c/heater system. Lots of work in the coming months, but should be a super quick daily that will actually be nice to drive in summer.
