You need to get some industrial strength double sided tape. Not the really thin type but the one with a layer of foam in between so it fits better between the guard and the flare. Stick it to as much of the guard as you can fit - more surface area to stick means more bonding.

I would try windscreen sealant. Just make sure that it is clean with a degreaser!

Thanks guys, I'll try and find some industrial strength double sided tape and if that doesn't work I might try the windscreen sealant idea.

Thanks guys, thought about going to small bumpers but I kinda like it with flares on and big bumpers at the moment. My rear bumper has a ding in it after someone hit me in a carpark, so I might switch to small bumpers one day, but will run it as is for a while I think.

This looks a twin of my Mk2 nothing wrong with big bumper although a lot people perfer small.
Where did you get the roof racf ?

Actually got them off a guy in Sydney, he had some fog lights I wanted and when I went to pick them up he had all this other Mk2 stuff but no Mk2. He'd sold his Golf years ago and asked if I wanted the racks.

Guys, we have to get our 3 white cars together sometime for a photo shoot. Apart from the wheels and the rack that could be a pic of my car, even the ride height is spot on.
