    Yep, I know
I re-did all the plastic sheeting in the door cards, but the old rubber seals were so weathered they left a 1-2mm gap between the seal and the glass, so they would let any water in and it'd eventually seep through the bottom. Better to stop the water getting in the door in the first place.

Got this in the mail today. Thanks Lucky13. No more cut up ice-cream containers on this car! Hopefully no more squealing belts either!

He had a few sets and a few others bits and pieces, looked like he was starting up a bit of a shop. Maybe send him a PM and see if he'll be getting any more in soon.

Wheels are ready to go. Just need coilovers and to work out spacing on the rear.

Haha, yeah, checked out Ozzy Tyres after I asked you where you got yours and saw they were on sale, so committed and got them. (Thanks for the info!) Its a sensible stretch and looks good I reckon. $88 each fitted was pretty good too.

Hopefully get the rest of what I need by the end of the year

Find a mate with a Golf with coilovers in it,ask for a test drive and see if you like it,you may not, unless you spend good money on them you will also find the cheaper ones don't last long.
You will be stuck with compliance issues with the coilovers also,a good quality set of lowering springs will only set you back $4-600 (approx) and you can find a set of Sachs/Boge replacement shocks for reasonable money to freshen up the suspension also.
Its your car having said the above and do what you like but its a big investment for GOOD coilovers.
By the way love your car, alpine white is the pick of the factory colours IMO,enjoy the car.

Thanks Watercooled! Haven't really thought too much about other options to be honest, so I'll have a look around before I commit to anything.

Got a day off work tomorrow, so I lifted the car tonight to get a head start on replacing the engine mounts. They are in much need of replacing. Did the front one tonight and I've got the other two ready to go for tomorrow. Putting a rubber mount with poly insert in the rear and a poly BFI mount in for the trans mount. Not solid, but stiffer than stock mounts.
