  • Car still at workshop. Going to America in 23 days so I hope it stays there for a while yet

      • Went down to the workshop today to have a squizz at the progress.

        Brakes done
        Lowered another inch
        manual steering rack done
        kill switches being done now
        4 degree camber at the front and 3 degrees at the back done

        So happy, cant wait to get it back. Photos for you guys:

              • thanks cookie. stiggy, the owner of the shop is quite fond of the canary yellow GTS commo's, a lot of spare lying around.

                Colin im sure there old steering rack was saved, i will get it back with the car... u want it?

                          Hey mate, thanks for the encouragement. I got the r888 from taleb tyres Sydney. They were brand new manufactured this year. They were $920 a set of 4

                            I think it will be ready this month, but unfortunately I am overseas for VW nationals I would have loved to be there, miss it by a couple of days. I think my first bit of racing will be at Wakefield or Huntley hill climb

                            Col, i have a box of parts in my garage now, let me know when u want to pick up the steering rack etc.

                            Another update: Secret style bonnet pins being installed, they flush mount and are lockable, rather than having a pin sticking out. Quite a spacious engine bay now also The box of spares i got back was so heavy, at least 50kg from the car that it didnt need. would be interesting to weigh it after all this.
