Its a super early one, so it doesnt get that.

Also only gets 2 dials in the centre console and the early hard dash.

So finished running in the motor today and tuned the KJet.

OMG the thing is rapid and so much fun to drive.

I had forgotten just how much fun a kjet Mk1 is to drive.

Some idiot in a focus just cut me off on the bypass on the way home, it was an 80 there, but when we came into the 100, thats what I did! My speedo is in miles tho I bottled it at 115mph, but it would have done more.

The focus driver was like OMG what is that old car.

Been sprucing up the interior today.

My front seats were pretty faded from being in the sun.

Only done one so far, but they are gonna look horn.

Took this pic as a before and after.

Gonna finish cleaning the plastics and make the radio work whilst the seats are out.

                    Interior Pics soon

It is an early 1980 and it does have the small dash.

There were a couple of patterns of seat, basically the stripe or the tartan in black or red.

I`ll take an interior pic when its all back together and cleaned.

                          • Got the seats all back together and in the car.
Very hard to take good pics of with a digital camera, looks better in the flesh.

The hard plastic early dash, Original GTI Wolfsberg steering wheel and small round cluster setup.

Also only has 2 dials in the centre console all year models after this had 3 and the dealer fitted tape stacker option.

The seats have much more colour in them now. Makes a big difference to the interior. Lots of work, but i`m happy with it now.

Just a detailing frenzy now for the Nats

Liam and I installed a new radio and instrument cluster into this today. The dash looks superb now!
