    Time for an update.

Tried to get this registered on Friday and actually had the plates in my hand when the guy in the RTA said hang on where are the engineering papers?

I was like what? Its standard??

Apparently it was engineered to comply with ADRs when it came to Australia in 1995 and without them, I have to re-engineer it or find the papers.

I have every MOT it ever had and all other paperwork, but no engineering papers. Grrrr.

The RTA manager was really helpful!!!!!!!!!!

He got them to check in the RTA archive incase the papers were attached to the old rego papers. They were not

He then found the address and number of the engineer who did it and for a fee he looked in his archive and reprinted them for me!!!!!!!!

Armed with the final paperwork, I went back to the blueslip garage so he could look at em and sign the blueslip, then back to the RTA and finally plates.

The car was last registered in Jan 1999 so it has been over 10 years!!!!!!

Put a tank of optimax in it and Kjet was still a bit ropey on way home. Left it for an hour on the lawn and went to move it, ran beautifully.

Just need to run the motor in and then I can flog the thing.
Goes pretty well for a 29 year old hot hatch

Dodgy pics taken today in the dark.

Still grinning from ear to ear here

James actually came for a drive in it with me.

He liked the retro seat belts and tape holder. The only issue was he wanted me to do 100, like the road sign says, but the speedo is in miles, so thats 160kph!!!!!!!!

                              Looking good matt!

Looks pretty period with those wheels.

                              How's it all runnning?

That RHS door alignment is alittle off though...
