It is really important that you NEVER move the car without a stub axle in the wheel bearing as the bearing will self destruct straight away. No I don't know why and don't ask me how I know. The memory is still painfull and that was a long time ago. The old racing trick of tightening the nut with 3 guys standing on the end of a 2 metre bar goes a long way to ensure the bearing lasts a long time too.1978 MK1 2.0 16v http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...-46488-70.html

Audi style door handles...notice no lock holes (i modified the rear ones to work in 2 door fronts.)
did anyone say new dash board??? and a dirty windscreen
p.s. the bonnet isn't painted i just had left over paint. and the front guard is painted black to stop it rusting...Last edited by thestu; 30-10-2008, 09:18 AM."The Stu likes this"

got some more stuff done yesterday
a fuel pump guard and tidied up the wiring
just wondering that screw that you adjust for the fuel mixture (a hole on above the air meter with an allen key) which way is rich and which way is lean?
and how to i wire up the cold start injector and timer? is it just a matter of powering the wires to ignition?
cheers"The Stu likes this"

This is the very simplified wiring diagram I made for the K-Jet electrical system.
It doesn't have the TCI switch in there, as that's very easy to wire in.
Hope this help's.
For the doubter's, this is exactly how all my K-Jet stuff has been wired in & have never had a problem.
Hope this help's.

You need a long 3mm allen key for the mixture. Right is rich, left is lean.
I go in half turns and then quarters when you get close.
Tims sketch is tops. All you need on one bit of A4sigpic Camden GTI Performance. VW / AUDI Specialists
