this will be interesting...
finally getting around to a trhread thatll be constantly updated as im going to build a really interesting car!
many of you may know i own a mk5 golf aswell and my 2 door mk1
previously i had a 2l in my mk1 but its not cool enough for me haha
so... the new build will be
- vr6 2.8 bored to a 3.0l,Integrated Engineering 164 x 20mm Forged Rods, apr head studs,Ferrea Exhaust and intake Valve Set +2mm 12v VR6 (Super Alloy),Ferrea Valve Spring/Retainer , TT 12v VR6 Camshaft Set (298 - race), VR6 12V HEAD SPACER KIT 9:1, kinetic vr6 turbo manifold, gt4202r garret turbo, haltech platinum 2000 sport, itll be running on e85 and mounted with eurowises stage 3 kit, 3 inch straight pipe
- standard vr6 gearbox ( not sure wtf ill do to that cause itll bow up stock )
- 12 point cage all mounts will be half weld as it will be a bolt in, mk3 vr6 front seats with bigger bolster, 4 point omp 801f harness, omp deep 355mm steering wheel, polo dash
-288mm brembo disks, 4 pot calipers front and rear, willwood bias pedal box and 3/8 m/c
- shaved and tucked bay, re weld new firewall which is completely flat, seam weld the bay
- seam weld the complete car, widened rear and front guards, bbs rs 15 x 10 allround 235/45/r15 nittos
the list will go on and change but the engine setup will moderatly stay the same!
hopefully will have updates very soon! although im rather busy at work and will be in the next few months up till december ill get stuck into the shell of the car with seam welding, cage, bay etc to be finished and painted before anything else happens!
