So a few months ago i got serious. behold, the first bagged mk1 golf in Australia... pics to follow
trunk install photos pls
what setup did you go with? accuair etc? i was looking at a kit off bagriders that was 3k+ not including shipping.. and hows the ride quality?
the car does look amazing, thought i would put that in there aswell.
But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."
I just reply, "your daughter, sir." - some dude on stanceworks
I had fixed half the broken crap but that just meant it was still halfway inoperable

Thanks man! I will go into detail on everything shortly, just trying to get some more detailed pics to run through if anyone wanted to do the same. I'm using bagyard mk3 front struts modified to fit the mk1. Wasnt too hard actually. Also running a vu4 distribution block with buttons on the dash for each corner. I am however only running fronts on air, and rears on coilovers for the time being. I have ordered some Air Lift universal struts and will be customizing them to fit the rear, wouldnt be hard at all.
You must be getting bored now, there's nothing left to do with this car.
Hahahaha, there are still some aspects, brakes, interior, tune etc that need to be done.
Overall super duper happy with the air ride. Its really easy to get around, over speed bumps etc. Its fun to play with too, people drop their jaws when they see me through sparks hahah. Costs a pretty penny, but pretty damn worth it. Its also comfy A F.
Guess it's time to hit ebay and the overseas forums for a kit.
There definitely is direct bolt in kits for sale o/s, however i felt that piecing it together like i did is a LOT cheaper. I think air lift make a kit that is like 4,000aud and then shipping on top!!
