Funny to hear about the L300, my family used to have one and we drove it all over the place from Brisbane to Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne Adelaide and back again. No Aircon and my seat was held up by a block of wood and a jack...Memories.


Back on topic though: If you are welding up the holes for the heater and blower, then will that make it illegal to drive without the capability to demist the windows, or is that just an OZ rule? (I might be really confused though)

That must be just an oz thing. Over here the rules are kinda, if you ain't got it you can't fail an MOT (your version of going over the pit) for it. Hence there will be no blower controls inside the car. Will be a show/summer car only really. Altho i might look into some sort of heater/blower thing to fit behind the dash or maybe get a heated front screen.

Only joking about Melbs, i just had a rubbish time whilst i was there, everything that could go wrong did really. Oh and it was sunny the day we left!

I'd love to see the AMG's on it too but short of upgrading all the brakes and hubs to 5x100 and then buying adapters aswell it aint gonna happen.

Should have some updated pics by the end of the weekend. Still welding up all the holes in the engine bay!

Can you humour us and roll a pair up to see how they look against the shell? Thinking it will look schmick.!

Yeah can do but will have to wait for the snow to melt first! Weather is really bad over here at the moment. Here is my Astra daily and girlfriends mk3 on the drive yesterday morning. Looks the same again today!

damn man! i have never seen snow land outside my house window! for snow, id have to travel 4 hours! hahaha
