    Living here in Australia only now do I appreciate how much your spoilt for choice in terms of parts for early VW'S

      Been doing a little more work on the car in the evenings.

      Finished removing the skuttle panel and have removed all the loom from the bay. Took me ages as i had to remove all the dash and all the screws had rusted in. Plus first time i've removed a dash n loom. Hopefully be able to get it all back together!

      Taken out all the heater matrix and blower etc ready to weld up the hole in the panel.





      Next up will be removing all the carpet and then start work with the welder!

              Naa, xmas and birthday and visiting parents have taken up most of my spare time over the last month or 2. Planning on making some effort this weekend, so hopefully will have some pics to update.

              Weather is crap here, few weeks ago it got down to -12C and in my Astra at 5pm one evening it said -9C. Warmed up a little this week but its been replaced with rain and localised flooding. Just a usual english winter!

              You guys just don't know how lucky you all are!!! Anyone wanna swap?

                      Naa, i'll pass on Melbs. When i was travelling it rained the entire 10 days i was there! Plus my rubbish old BitsAreMisin L300 that got me all the way around Aus broke down on me in an underground carpark nr the river. Took me and my bro 2 hrs of trying to bump start it to get it going again on our own! Us both on the back of it and me running down the side, jumping in and trying to bump it. We couldn't even get it out the carpark as it had a huge upwards exit slope with a barrier at the bottom. Nearly killed us both. Funny thinking about it now but it wasn't at the time.

                      Will i be shot for saying i'd love to own a HSV Maloo?

                      Probably just cos we don't have anything like it over here really.

                          Heyy c'mon, Melbourne isn't that bad! We're just in the middle of 45 degree days! Hell, it'll probably be 17 degrees in the blink of an eye!

                          Nice cab mate. Have you got any more updates? I'd love to see the AMG wheels make an appearance on the whip

                            Only joking about Melbs, i just had a rubbish time whilst i was there, everything that could go wrong did really. Oh and it was sunny the day we left!

                            I'd love to see the AMG's on it too but short of upgrading all the brakes and hubs to 5x100 and then buying adapters aswell it aint gonna happen.

                            Should have some updated pics by the end of the weekend. Still welding up all the holes in the engine bay!
