Not really had a lot of time in the garage since my week off.
Had a mega busy, stressful week back at work and this week isn't panning out any better, means no evening visits to the garage, instead i'm sat at my work computer all night!
At the weekend i managed to clean up the Gearbox mounting bracket and fit new engine mounts. What a job that is! Took me 2 hrs of hanging off my bench vice to push the bloody thing in to the gearbox mounting bracket above. Took me about the same time to do the other engine mount!
Other than that i just took off a couple of mounting brackets from inside the engine bay, working out what i can sensibly loose and what holes need to be welded up and where the wires can go etc. Hopefully be buying a little MIG welder sunday morning, with the money i earn DJ'ing Saturday night.

I wouldn't normally be bothered but as its all out and in a million pieces, may as well clean them all up before i put it all back together. Surprised myself how easy the engine mount cleaned up tho, wire wheel, bit of wet n dry and a quick spray of lacquer.

Picked up the wheels this morning. Not sure how well thay are going to fit yet. Need to get the tyres removed and get some narrow low pros to go on them. Not Wabit style tho!
Still they are 16" x 7J fronts and 16" x 8J rears. Should be interesting with my wide arches and once fully polished up!
Will get some proper pics up once i've had chance to clean them, heres the ebay photo.

Right here is a very long awaited update. To be honest i haven't touched the car for months but I decided to get out in the garage tonight and look what i've done. (Cheers Dom, you asking for an update inspired me to get out there. Made me feel suitably guilty)
Now you see it...
Now you don't.
Now you see it...
Ahhh, past the point of no return now...
Thats it for tonight. Hopefully get back out there again tomorrow.
