Got some sweet chrome window trim in the mail today thanks to redmk2gti and his prompt postage Now installed and looking amazing, it really pulls the look of the car together.

A local shop joined the exhaust with a flex yesterday so now its possible to actually tune as the noise was pretty offensive to the neighbours. Hope to get it past the idle stage tomorrow.

Also installed a set of coil overs, now its almost ready to have its photo taken!

As for putting it on a dyno, sure but it pretty expensive so i cant see it happening anytime too soon.

Just focusing on achieving registration by the weekend..anyone have connects in brisbane? PM me if so!

          stupidly close.

So my tuning guy couldnt make it..bummer. Had a go at it and surprised myself. got the VE and spark tables tuned okay and went for a drive.

dang, its fast, like faster than my friends 1.8gti with a cam/extractors. and its not even tuned haha (saving the o2 sensor till i have it a little better, dont want to dump fuel all over it)

Took it up the street and scared the life out of some dude walking his dog. it sounds Awesome, thanks to Valvers dope extractors and the supersprint exhaust. oh and the itb's

I took a quick photo before I put it away. So nice to finally drive it, i forgot how comfortable the seats are!

The FL quarter isnt attached on the bottom and the bonnet isnt closed and the bumper is a little tilted up and the FL quarter isnt straight....but you get the idea

man this thing is super cool! love the look you've gone for, def dope. love seeing the ITB's through the grill. cool as.

also what's going on with the wheels? seems as if they're missing bolts..?? [like the lips bolts..]

needs a small LS duckbill though imo.

Yeah its pretty much inspired from the classic euro on 15's look. Took me ages to collect all that chrome tho!

The wheels are weird, 3 are the same and one has a 7mm more offset so i will have to correct that. They are one piece with holes. If I had 4 the same i would machine off the edge and fit bigger lips. probably the worst thing about a golf is the non existent affordable wheel options.

I put clear polycarb over the left side of the grill to keep small birds out and reduce the positive air pressure.

I agree, it badly needs a small chin spoiler. Also have to fit the lower chrome strips.

Im glad you guys like it. After so long all you start to see is the imperfections!

Those wheels were on the Green Mk1 with the yellow roof...

Are you mates with a guy that has been building up an insane ae86 and has just decided to part it out?
