um its a euro KR, rusty, cant read the serial number haha. has a silly 5sp box. cruises 60kph in 5th with ease, dont think i will be getting good highway mileage!
i get home next week, want to be making noise within a week..finally worked out a bunch of tricky problems so im psyched.
The loom exits out one hole and is covered with that snakelike covering and heatshrink on the ends.
Rad an manifold are both complete..thanks to a generous friend with a tig. Its for a civic but turned 90deg and had new ports and the filler relocated.
Found a pulsar brake reservoir at the wreckers. (thanks whoever tipped me off)
switched to the better hall sensor in the dizzy.
I had a shipment of parts from the states get lost in the mail and it had the remaining missing parts so im pretty bummed about that.
Its so close its funny! esp as i go back to NYC next week for another 3 months so i guess its on ice till i return, parts in hand.
Good luck to everyone with their projects this winter.
VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it

Fitted larger rear drums, thanks to the Loon.
new water pump.
And probably the best part is I now have no brake linkage! If you also would like to be without this metallic sponge I suggest you contact Matt at Camden GTI. He has done extensive research (ALOT of trial and error)to make solid mk1 brake feel a reality.
Also tidied up the inlet mani, after porting the inside the outside looked a little scrappy, just need to hit the polishingwheel now.
Making moves this weekend, expect a picture of a car that looks complete!
i am not entirely sure what version it is, probably 2. its in a black case, sold by patatron and if you are savvy to the vortex im sure you know to avoid this guy at all costs. he ripped off a bunch of people and judging by his behavior it wouldn't surprise me if he honestly became a crack head.
that bs aside, i had it checked and it reportedly functions fine. i bought a blank loom to match and wiring it in has been fairly straight forward. to make things easier i have used the gm water/air sensors that it is calibrated for, i have tapped the water sen into the alloy radiator into a blanking plate.
i will use a base map from one of the usa guys since my engine is internally standard it should be a fairly driveable match. with the wideband and some logging it should go nicely. i kinda wanted itbs purely for the noise after hearing a 20v 4age
so to really answer your question, i have little experience! you all will be the first to know as info comes to hand.

Thanks for that mate. You are the second to use that setup. I`m 500 road ks into my one and the brakes are fantastic for a Mk1. Feels like something from this century
Glad to see the car is making progress now mate.
