I've done a bit by hand, i was going to sand blast them to get the powder coat off but i stripped them chemically instead. I've used an orbital sander for most of it so far, need to grab some finer grit paper tomorrow only hit it with 400 so far. Will also have to do a bit of work on the lip as they have a bit of gutter rash.76 MkI 3 door - daily drive/project - 1.8 5speed

Yea, they should come up good. I'm also interested, do you think it would be worth it to buy an electric buffer at all...?haha
So will they be polished or painted?

Im trying to work out the colour of the car, it has no colour code sticker on it.
It is an aussie built car so i looked up the aussie colour charts for 76 and they have flipper blue which i think is correct. I spoke to my old man and he reckons it is that colour he had a beetle the same colour.
I believe that same colour changed to either miami blue or florida blue after they stopped making them here.76 MkI 3 door - daily drive/project - 1.8 5speed
