Good things come to those who wait
Polishing wheels is a slow slow process
Will be taking it down to a local guy to have the rust work all professionally done, feel it will be a much better job than my own work and i hate rust and want it gone. Other than that I have done a bit of prep work on panels and have started stripping the 16v down.
no pics just yet though, my hair is much longer than hers, not sure I can deliver on the bust thoughbut the car will hopefully look as good as that one, will haev the same style going for it.

Was bound to happen sooner or later, burred the heads of some bolts /facepalm
The allenkey bolt on the water outlet on the head was already burred out had a quick go at it but wasn't going to happen. Then I burred out the head on the top bolt on the oilfilter outlet.
guessing I will need to drill them out and get on of those special tools?Last edited by static1800; 03-09-2008, 08:37 PM.76 MkI 3 door - daily drive/project - 1.8 5speed

You can usually get them to start turning with a cold chisel.
Vice grips if you can get 'em in there work too.
Another way is to go the next size up imperial hex and smack it into the head of the bolt. Spline and torx bits can work too, but I wouldn't do it with my own tools.
