not me, but I like your thinking!

Will you have trouble getting reg'd with the cage, cause it's meant to be a 5 seater, but you're making it a two? it would defiantly be cool, thats for sure..

I'm in the process. Although i'm doing a full rebuild first so it'll take a little before the first fire up on the dyno.

But i'll give you as much info as you want when i've got it going. Apparently they are quite good on webers. Techtonics Tuning say it's the way to go for performance.

How far off are you from doing it?

Oh, and just get it registered without the cage and put it back in.

Pretty sure it needs to be engineered as a 2 seater, you are then stuck with a two seater and if you want a backseat in the car again you need to re engineer it.

carbs are expensive, but I'm still think it'd be cheaper than aftermarket comp...

plus, twin 40(or 45's if you're adventurous) DCOE's will sound absolutely positvely PHAT!!! Might have custom fab a manifold, unless there are one's which you can buy from the UK? which is entierely possible, but shipping is a killer both time and money...

wats the size of that centre bore? That's where I ran into issues with mine, I won't be running them anymore casue of that.

THose wheels looks good tho. The gold with polished lips and ribs will look great imo

stock is 57.1 from memory. I think mine globes were 68mm. Whack a wheel on the front and tell us how it goes, that's where you'll run into the most problems i think. Hopefully, you'll be ok with the offset.

Cool car Static, petty about the rust, have you taken the front gaurds off and looked at the skirts and looked at the plenum? Mine had a big hole in the right skirt and a hole directly over the fuse box in the plenum. Very common.

When ya paint it, dont use acrylic, its old technology and wont last near the time the new 2K stuff does.
You shouldnt have a problem putting 2K over acrylic as long as you cover it properly with an etch primer, then the usual primer/surfacer. (my last MKI and current one have ended up fine!)

Good luck with the project dude mate.
