Too hot to sand. Too humid to paint.

I managed to paint the floor a flat white though. I wasn't to pedantic about it but at least it covers all the red.

How did you go about painting that.

At some parts it looks like paint can, others paint brush ahaha. Or was it with a compressor and spray gun?

                    Nice work dude..

The bits that look brushed are from the factory seam sealer...

                    • Was all done with a spray gun. I literally cleaned it with wax and grease remover then sprayed it.

I'm assuming the brushed on look is all where the sound deadening/seam sealant is. I didn't remove any of it. that's all just slopped on from factory.

EDIT: Preen beat me too it

                        • Shed keys? Real builds happen in the front yard hahaha. The golf wasn't touched for about a month but I wont bore you with details.

Not a lot to update on though. Shell is painted however.

Here it is in the "spray booth" Masked up in primer and ready for some colour:

4 layers of base coat and 2 layers of my satin clear got it looking hot. The finished sheen really gives it a unique look. I think the flares have come up pretty decent also. (Ignore the ride height as it was jacked up so I could get at the rocker panels while painting, it'll be way lower.)

                          • That second pic of the blue body does it for me. The paint job turned out purrrrfect. Flares look hot.

Keep at it mate, don't keep us drooling like this.
