The exhaust is all done and the car is now in the drive way.
Steve at USA Exhausts is a legend! Im so happy with the results and the effort and pride he took in his work. He took the extractors off and shortened them by an inch on the head side so it clears everything, took the head stud out that i broke, fitted a 1.75" system with a 4" jap cannon on the rear and extended the shift lever to 5speed spec.
Now i just have to wait for some good weather so i can get out there and finish it!
*its not realy a 4" jap cannon, its a 2" muffler and tip. I can imagine your face when your read jap cannon though.
I was thinking the same thing. They guy i bought it off said it was off a mk1 race car, but it doesnt fit a mk1 properly and it wont even come close on a mk2 or 3.
Had a go at the carbie today, just ended up geting really angry. Its sucking up way to much fuel and prity much smokes up the whole street, i cant find any way of adjusting the air and fuel. It also only idles when you hold the choak flap closed and even then it idles at 3000rpm.
Ive had enough with this crappy carbie, ****in pos off a 1.3 FIAT.
I did buy a 32/36 webber off dom a while ago but that thing was a pos too, does anyone know a place that rebuilds them?
