Good work, Loon For God's sake, lose that blue, though Oak Green is a classic and subtle VW colour and is spoiled by common old Ford blue!!!

Thanks Valver. Its only under the bonnet and I need a colour to compliment the Oak. Silver and black gets lost, it needs something else. hence the blue.
I did take out the lime green booster and will be making it black though.
The outside of the car will look stock, the interior will be special

I`ve had to lift my game after seeing your car mate. Something to aspire to.

I see what you mean, but don't you want to pretend the brake linkage is lost? I know I did!! Too much money to go to individual MCs properly and probably no gain...?

Will be nice to see another Mk1 on the road.

                        Did the brake booster today.
Painted it black, in response to criticism from some of you lot
9" Booster from an Audi 80 1986 Model modified shaft, thanks dubstarmk2, Audi 80 M/C and bottle.
Used a couple of nuts to kick it sideways to clear the dissy and bent the shifter linkage to clear the bottom of it. Brake lines are in and there is enough clearance.

Yeah i`m into it. Everyday I go and plug in another couple of things.
Its clearing up the shed too, as i`m sorting things out and sticking them on the car.

Today I did the wiper motor. A SEAT Ibiza motor fits onto the Mk1 bracket and the electrical connector is the same as on the Mk2 loom I am using
Should mean that the wipers will actually work, unlike most Mk1s!

Also put in the engine loom and the front car loom. The plan is to put the entire loom in from a Mk2, including the fusebox. Should then be plug and play all the way, except the back tail lights.

Still got to do Fuel lines. And car wiring.

Yeah I reckon if you locked me in the shed for a week, I could drive it out of there.

It wont be that soon, but not that long either.
