Did some more hard yards today. i wanted the fusebox on the drivers side to fit neatly with the Mk2 dash and wiring loom.

Space for the acellerator was an issue, but a special ninja bracket was the go.

Had to clear all the stuff out that I was storing in the shell. Which was good, as I found the front windscreen rubber, so nearly ready for glass.

I have been deliberating over whether or not to put the arches and gti stripes on it that I have had stored for so long and been tripping over for ages.

Just thought bugger it in the end and whacked em on. Glad I did, I think it makes it look tuff. What do you guys reckon?

Still have to do the other side. I need a bigger garage.

          Next wiring and hopefully sparks.
          Then dash and interior.

Put a few more bits back on this weekend.
Wiring is in place and should work (in theory)
Dash is in situ and I now need to modify heater pipes etc.
Thanks to William for the Steering Wheel and for making me dig the seats out. Back seat is in. Looks hot. No pics yet, its a secret.
Need a couple of hose fittings for the pressure accumulator, then battery, then fuel, then noise I hope.

Whoooot Whoooot. Fist splutters from the Garage at 11.45 last night.
Big thanks to Beau, the crazy American from Barloworld VW who came over to check my wiring Nice one Geezer.
Finally managed to sort the sparks and we could make it run by pouring fuel in the top. Gonna wire up the fuel pump and the fuel pump relay today, then real noises. Wahoo.

Cooling System operational today and nearly had it started untold times with a 1.6 starter. Finaly gave up, changed the starter for a SEAT Cordoba one and borrowed a battery from the Rocco. Engine turned noticeably quicker and started!!!

Wahooo. It ran for about 10 secs and sounded sweet.

Then it died, which turned out to be a vacuum leak, which I only discovered after messing with the Timing and flattening all the batteries.

Put everything on charge. I want it to move under its own power soon.
I reckon tomorrow is the day
