Hey everyone,
A friend of mine has a MK 1 facelift Touareg V6 TDI with DPF. About a week ago the engine warning light came on, the car entered limp mode and so they called the dealer and drove it there straight away. After half a day the car was back, VW apparently saying that there is a Campaign on an 'Exhaust gas pressure sensor relating to the DPF'. also when the car got back there was one of those recall plates behind the drivers door. I looked under the bonnet and the only part that wasn't dusty (and so was brand new) was the pressure sensor that tells the car how full the DPF is and when it needs regenerating (you know, that little rectangular box with two hoses and a wire coming out of it). Does anyone here know if the sensor in this car is the same as the one on my Polo? (Check my signature)
If it is, do you think that the Campaign would also affect my car? Because I've been having regen's way too often and the way it does them is horrendous - stalling at intersections, being way too noisy, shaking etc.
Thank you for any info/help!
