That's all I really want, I little more go as the TDI 1.9 is a little slow after owning it stock for a couple of years.

This is a great post, so thanks a lot for the inspiration!
Haha no worries man, glad it has brought some inspiration to people

    Haha

Plastic bits can be painted at any panel shop, just make sure they undercoat them as well
Originally I had parts polished by Neway wheel repairs in Heidleberg but they also repaired the gutter on the 18s
Now I've got a guy in Coburg polishing the 17 parts and will update if the results are any good (so far his prices are great at $25 lip and $10 hex)

In regards to flaring I've got a few guys I can use, thinking of just using my mate in Hallam this time

Update - Bought Hong's old GTI leather interior, just need to source rear drivers door trim, arm rest, climatronic surround and a Kufatec wiring loom to retrofit it all (so I can use electric lumbar and heated seats)
Should be getting a call back tomorrow from one of the wreckers in regards to the parts and then just need to order the loom from Germany.
So currently interior is a mix and match of cloth/ leather lol

Also had my cousin grab a video of how sooty it is, but hard to tell how loud it is as it's from an iphone
However it''s on facebook so you will need to add me as a friend to view it i think :S

Local shop near my place, wayy to far for you to be driving to have something painted tbh. Would be 1.5hours easily
cost $300 which is average for a bar paint, can get cheaper at other places all you need to do is ask around

Well been sometime since an update, Had a crazy bucks weekend on the GC for my cousin the weekend just past. However the weekend previous to that I participated in the Skylines Australia 2012 end of year annual show and shine (still a member after selling my skyline more than 2 years ago )

Here are a few pics people have snapped of the car, last pic showing the liners how to do lows

On the RS update, finally got my nuts and bolts but had to buy a new deflecting beam torque wrench as my old Kinchrome one wouldn't torque properly.
Also fitted the Gti leather interior, currently car is apart as I purchased a Kufatec wiring loom and heated seat control panel so I can hook up the heated leathers

                    Haha thanks man

However there are a few changes happening soon which will mean they MAY be getting sold, either way new wheels will be on soon.
The 17's I built are currently for sale as well as I've decided to go something a bit more OEM for the wheels.

Also I'll be changing my tail lights, had a moisture problem in my passenger outside one for quite some time and with no help from the seller of eBay I'm going to bear the cost and go something different, it has taken me a little while to get to the point where hopefully tonight I'll be making payment for them through the supplier

Also finished off the interior finally, tracking down a good condition armrest was a pita, no one had one at all
But it's all sorted and installed, and the heated seats are all hooked up thanks to the Kufatec wiring loom

Good to hear, man. We need to do a couple of shots together. Get those rockin' LED's going together.

Haha before I change them over? Will be sometime before new ones come in anyway (they are different to the Valeo oem led's)
Curious if you have thought on changing the lights to donut rings on the outside?

                          A few updates

Received and installed my new cherry red led's from JOM, and I must say they look great. Even though thet aren't the oem led's I much prefer these atm. These are a pretty simple fit, all the wiring is supplied to run the inner led's and the fog light and reverse light were easy to swap over by opening up the housings and resealing them with urethane (10min job). They also have built in reflectors so are legal for Australian roads, unlike a lot of the smoked ones

Had my rear valance painted leaving the center part in the black factory ripple finish

Bought and installed a hatch pop kit, parts from ECS and the shockers from eBay so costed me less than the complete kit from ECS and still works great, although a lot harder to close the hatch now

Had my more oem 18" wheels arrive and fixed of gutter rash and repainted

And today had my adapters from Adaptec Speedware arrive, so on Saturday I will be getting the tyres swapped over and then posting up some pics after I wash it. It's a very very dirty rear atm

Got some updated pics while I was at my beach house this weekend, not the best as I was having to much fun with friends and didn't scope out some good spots for pics
                              however here goes

                              pics of the lights

                              tail lights off

                              tail lights on

                              brake lights on

                              indictors and lights on

                              fog light and lights on

                              reverse light and lights on

Had to hand roll the rear guards as I couldn't book a wheel alignment in time, however they came up surprising well just enough off a roll to sit flush with wheels now
