subframe, I measured the bolt heads, but could have been lower spots on it.
Although I was looking around today and the exhaust is pretty low too on the last slip join, maybe 60-70mm maxComment

This is heaps brighter and matching to the rest of the LED's on the car

The reverse is heaps brighter but the fog looks pretty similar. I am guessing the white colour gets filtered by the red lens a lot, and a red led would be better. Saying that, I dont use the fog light enough to care. (Might yet wire it together with my reversing light).
No bulb out error either, these ones seem to have enough resistance by themselves ...Comment

Yeah I didn't use the fog side myself, tested it and just thought I'd keep the extra one as a spare in case my reverse light does blowComment

FYI in reverse light upgrade.
I found running two of the higher powered bulbs in the reverse light and fog side put too much load on the circuit and began to pulse. Bad news.
I moved the stock bulb to the fog side and ran a wire over. Also you want a diode for coming back, so it doesn't activate the reverse circuit when you put the rear fog on.Comment

Well I haven't updated in ages so thought would post up the new mods since my last update... Posting pics in not to distant future
Installed the sub/amp and box
lowered it a touch more
Added sprintbooster that was a freebie
changed front bar to a GTI style one but have Jetta grills ready to go on
Also has a rubber lip kit so it's got "lows" at front
added a ABT rear hatch spoiler
changed mirror glass to blue tinted
Shorty antenna (9" one so I still have some radio reception)
My 17 RS's came in and currently rebuilding to US specs
