As I would have to surrender my NSW plates to VicRoads, I'd have to (order and) display my new Victoria euro plates upon leaving the VicRoads office? How would I affix these temporarily whilst I find someone to drill holes in my new plates?
Thanks

I've been tossing up between custom plates and euro custom, and I think I'm going for the normal custom.
I'm thinking getting both slimline, or is it better (esp for the front) to get the bigger ones (I know it won't fit like the Euro ones)Stock VW Scirocco R Rising Blue

(goto additional images for a nice pic) - I got the plate cover on top of that, which looks ok, but probably not required
Removal was easy enough. From memory remove plate. Push the middle of the plastic rivets out, then pull the rivets out. You might lose the middle of the rivet in the bumper somewhere, I lost 1 out of 2.
Something to consider is there was some plastic rubbed off and transferred to the bumper from the mount on mine. And it only had a few hundred k's on it. Buffed off easy enough. But would have been visble after i put the replacement plate on if it had been scratched. I guess it could be replaced if it was damaged underneath if you could get replacement rivets..
The plate i'm fairly sure could screw directly into the bumper without issue. But i preferred the look of that lakin. I think a few guys are running them here. I can take some pictures if you want.

+1 for the Lakin holder. I have had one on my Golf R for about 2 years now and still looks fantastic.
Just bought another one a month ago or so for my GTI and it looks great too - much nicer than the OEM plastic horrible thing.
