Thanks John, it indeed fits perfectly well.

I just realized mine has a small black euro plate at front, and regular size one at back, not sure if the kit comes with a small cover for the front - also I may need to think about fill the 2 holes if removing the bulky black plate holder.

if you have the smaller plate at the front these wont be any good at all mate.

Thanks mate, would be nice to not having plate at the front like some of the states in US

I'm considering switching my plates over from NSW to Victoria, as I am spending more time in the south (it's taken me a year to admit)

As I would have to surrender my NSW plates to VicRoads, I'd have to (order and) display my new Victoria euro plates upon leaving the VicRoads office? How would I affix these temporarily whilst I find someone to drill holes in my new plates?

            Thanks

people seem to use 3m double sided tape, external one of course which can be had from any bunnings store.

They say it holds very well

                  Oh dear

How long did you have them on before you "lost" the rear plate djchuckles?

Mine would be temporary - a couple of days max.

if it came off you used the wrong tape.

the one I use for this type of thing I buy in japan. it's clear double sided tape and is about 20mm wide and I'd say 3mm thick.

i have stuck the front plate onto my silvia using just 3 small pieces of it and it was on the front bar and the plate overhung the bar opening (so lots of forces trying to pull it off and suck it into the intercooler opening) and it was fine even doing track days at phillip island hitting 220+ down the straight.

don't buy the white stuff. you want the clear stuff. it can even be used to affix spoilers etc! (not that I would... but apparently it can hold a lot). when I sold my silvia the we had trouble getting the plate off and it'd been on for 3 years! eventually got it off but it was mangled into a ball of aluminum

First day! That said I've not had a plate on the rear now for 2 months and had no bother - been followed by the police a few times.

Must find out how to replace the plate

I'd get on to that quickly if I were you. It's absolutely a legal requirement that you have a rear plate fitted at all times, and I would have thought the fines would be steep.

                          Plates and plate holder

So I used double sided tape for my nsw plates and lost the front plate today, about an hour or so before my appointment with vicroads...whoops?
Obviously didn't use the correct type.

lol. well if anyone local to me wants to use double sided tape I'll donate some of the good stuff. I can guarantee if won't come off. as I said. nearly 3 years of my silvia front plate on and it was overhanging the intercooler duct too and went over 200km/h at PI no problem. it was still a massive task to get it off after 3 years (which is the only downside of this stuff)....

So, if I find these plates on the way to my friends place tonight, and put them on my car... and do some Top Gear style driving on public roads... you'll have no argument against the police, right? All the cameras are gonna see is a blue Scirocco. Mwahahaha

So you'll be driving me to and from work every day when they suspend my licence due to your TG stunt? Didn't think so

Hmmm though it makes you wonder what would happen if someone did that, considering I switched to the vic plates today too.
