Funny you mention it. Here are some pics of the carbon buildup on a Golf R engine with 50,000km's on it. The car was 100% stock standard. As you would know, the Golf R engine is the exact same as what you have in your Scirocco R.Originally posted by vwryogi View Post

You can also use the Subaru upper engine cleaner (also Nulon have a cleaner and also Liqui Moly have one too) and spray that inside your inlet manifold (via the air temp sensor) and doing that every 6 months or so will help somewhat to the carbon buildup. Interesting results for a stage 2+ Scirocco with back to back dynos:
With only software change:
- 10% peak to peak power gain
- 12% mid-range power gain
- 15% gain in peak to peak torque
